Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off / 07:00 until 19:00 (Days), 19:00 until 07:00 (Nights)

A quick look at the role

The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability by ensuring all PPMs, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented promptly. The role also involves promoting best practices daily through high engineering, compliance, and H&S standards.

Your core responsibilities

• Provide high operational availability and efficient breakdown repair services. Diagnose faults and ensure effective repairs and improvements are completed swiftly.
• Develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance and inspection programme to minimize downtime, record recurrent faults, and develop engineered solutions.
• Perform minor maintenance operations on plant and equipment.
• Liaise with external contractors for specific repairs and maintenance work.
• Stay updated with changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure standards and best practices are followed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Fitter, or similar role, preferably in a green waste/water treatment plant or similar environment.
• Proven ability to meet clearly defined KPIs.
• Experience in delivering continuous improvement in an operational setting.
• Experience in implementing new processes and developments.
• Suitable job titles include Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Shift Electrician, Multi Skilled Electrician, etc.
