Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant at a Leading SEN School!

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant/1:1 Support

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Contract Type: Full-time, long term (Temp to perm is possible)

Daily pay: £77-£95

Hours: 9-15:30 (Mon-Thur) 9-14:00 (Fri)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated full-time Teaching Assistants to support a vibrant special educational needs (SEN) school committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment.

This special school caters for young people from the ages of 4-19, who can experience a range of SEN such as profound severe and complex needs as well as a vast range of medical and learning requirements. All our pupils have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide tailored support to students with diverse needs
  2. Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  4. Help students develop essential life skills and confidence alongside their education
Who We Are Looking For:
  1. Experience with SEN (this can be in an academic setting or personal)
  2. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  3. A proactive and enthusiastic approach and the ability to work as part of a team
  4. Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs are a plus
  5. A driving licence is preferred, but those without are still encouraged to apply
  6. Care, youth and support experience.
  7. Graduates who have studied Psychology and criminology (not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
