The Role

We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to build and maintain customer environments in AWS. The role requires strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and best practices, working alongside our Cloud and engineering teams on deployments and support.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and DirectConnect.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Understanding of AWS backup solutions, resiliency, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including IAM roles, encryption, and firewall configurations.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Config, and CloudTrail.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration in cloud environments.
• Existing AWS certifications or the motivation to attain them quickly (costs covered by Options).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Typical Job duties include:

• Deploying AWS environments for customers in collaboration with Solution Architects and Sales Engineers, leveraging IaC.
• Engaging with customer technology teams as needed.
• Troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues.
• Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery through backups, snapshots, and multi-region setups.
• Configuring monitoring, security, and administration tools.
• Optimizing AWS environments for cost, performance, and availability.
• Managing multiple work streams in a dynamic environment.
