Job summary
Weekend Hotel Services Assistant.
Saturday and Sunday 10:00 - 18:00 (15 hours per week).
The successful post holder(s) will provide a cleaning and catering service to our Service Users, Staff and Visitors across our Wards and Departments.
You will be working as part of an established Team who provide a full Hotel Services function across the Hospital.
Main duties of the jobCleaning - Cleaning all areas of the Hospital, including bedrooms with en-suite facilities, bathrooms, day rooms, lounges, corridors, offices and other areas of the Ward.
Catering - The preparation and service of lunch and evening meals items, the handling, reheating, and service of cook-freeze meals. Making light snacks including salads, sandwiches and beverages. Washing up and associated cleaning within the Ward kitchen and dining room.
Other duties - Handling and disposal of waste, periodic cleaning, such as carpet shampooing and curtain changing.

HOUSEKEEPING1. Cleaning in all areas to the agreed NHS specification (including but notlimited to National Standards of Cleanliness, CQC outcomes andPLACE, and in line with local schedules.2. Completion of cleaning records.3. Highlighting to the Nurse in Charge or Hotel Service Supervisor areasof concern e.g. on-going issues around access.4. CATERING1. Receipt of chilled meals and stores, checking for quantity, quality.2. To ensure the correct storage and rotation of chilled meals and stores.3. Regeneration of chilled/frozen meals, according to guidelines and foodsafety instructions. Under Nursing supervision to serve all meals,ensuring correct portioning and presentation of meals.4. Monitoring, recording of food temperatures, asrequired.5. Washing by machine all crockery, cutlery and utensils.
GENERAL1. Ensuring the security of all stock, monitoring stock levels and reordering on a top up basis.2. Reporting maintenance faults to the Hotel Services Office inaccordance with local procedure.3. Undertaking flushing of water outlets in accordance with the agreedschedule. Completion of flushing records.4. Assisting with the refitting of anti ligature dispenser holders asappropriate.5. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.6.
