About Pathways To Work
The Barnsley Pathways to Work is a yearlong programme, potentially extendable, designed to enable all working age residents, especially those further from the labour market, to access employment. Funded support is available for people inactive due to health or caring responsibilities, and young adults at risk of not entering the labour market, with potential continuation until 2029 depending on funding.
SYHA plays a pivotal role in supporting communities across Barnsley to find and thrive in work through comprehensive health and work assessments, tailored services, collaborations with health teams, DWP, and VCSE partners. Our services help individuals find, return to, or stay in employment, and support their wellbeing and workforce re-entry.
The Health at Work Coaches provide one-on-one coaching, promote self-management, signpost to services, liaise with businesses, and explore interventions to support employment and wellbeing goals using participant spend budgets.
