Job summary
The post holder will work in the pharmacy department at Darent Valley Hospital within the Pharmacy Purchasing Office.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, demonstrate innovation, communicate ideas clearly and effectively, and possess competent IT skills.
This position will not support visa sponsorship. All applicants must have a valid right to work in the UK when applying.
The post will be based within our busy purchasing office. Your key responsibility is to assist in the procurement of medicines and support our dispensary using the automated robot and Omnicell cupboards; full training will be provided. The role involves liaising with suppliers to order medicines and products essential for patient care. Attention to detail is crucial, as efficient procurement impacts costs, budgets, and the quality of service provided by the pharmacy and the trust.
Full training and support will be provided as you undertake the Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprentice program.
Previous experience in procurement or financial processing is desirable. Healthcare setting experience is an advantage.

Education: Essential - GCSE or equivalent; Desirable - NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or similar.

Experience: Essential - Teamwork, office experience; Desirable - Pharmacy/healthcare, stock control, purchase to pay, CMM knowledge.
This role is subject to a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
