Position Summary |
The primary location of this position is on-site at the Cullowhee, NC campus.
The Assistant Director of Training will provide a central role in managing, promoting, and supporting all clinical training programs at WCU.
Those serving in this role will ensure the effective oversight and administration of the Doctoral Internship Program, maintaining APA accreditation and professional standards while managing all aspects of intern training and evaluation.
This role involves coordinating the application review process, conducting interviews, and submitting rankings to the National Matching Services, as well as overseeing the maintenance of Counseling Center records related to intern training.
Additionally, the position includes providing clinical supervision to trainees, facilitating training opportunities for staff, and delivering a range of psychological services to students, thereby fostering a supportive and effective training environment.

Minimum Qualifications |
Interested candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States of America without the need for employer sponsorship or any other immigration-related assistance.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology required. Completion of an APA Accredited Internship required. Be a licensed psychologist in good standing in North Carolina or a licensed psychologist in a state outside of North Carolina and able to transfer licensure to North Carolina by start date.
