Job description

Role: Graduate Flood Risk Consultant

Location: Aberdeen

My client, an innovative UK-based Engineering Consultancy which specializes in Civil, Structural, and Infrastructure Engineering, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join an established team of Engineers based in Aberdeen.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Hydrology, Hydroinformatics, or Environmental Management, with a dissertation focused on Hydrology, SuDS Design, or Flood Risk Assessments.

It is beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience working for a UK-based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling, or Drainage projects.

Candidates must live locally or be required to relocate to Aberdeen as you will be required in the office for training purposes.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Development Projects to complete Hydrological Assessments, Flood Risk Assessments, Hydraulic Modelling, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Designs using Microdrainage.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following:

  1. Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3.
  2. Hydrological Assessments.
  3. Surface Water Management Plans.
  4. Drainage Strategy and detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.
  5. Drainage Area Planning.
  6. Civil Engineering design for Residential and Commercial Developments.
  7. Hydraulic Modelling.
