What is the opportunity?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Privacy Risk team in Wealth Management – Europe (WME), within Data Governance and support the successful delivery of WME Privacy Risk’s programme of work.
You will be responsible accountable for managing team members within Privacy Risk. You will provide guidance, development, coaching, driving performance management, and supporting career development
The programme of work is designed to promote, enhance, and maintain good first line of defence (1LOD) responsibility for Privacy risk as defined in the RBC Risk taxonomy.
Virtual job fairs
You will be responsible for supporting and advising the 1L including but not limited to embedding ‘Privacy by Design’ into key change initiatives and ensuring that WME is adhering to the global privacy framework and control standards within RBC.
You will manage the maintenance of the WME Record of Processing, supporting the business to complete Privacy Risk Assessments and supporting initiatives that enhance privacy risk management across the business.
What will you do?
Work with key business stakeholders and change teams across the WME business to embed ‘Privacy by Design’.
Provide guidance and support across the WME business to support key initiatives to ensure Personal Data is managed in accordance with the GDPR and aligned to the global privacy framework.
Provide key stakeholders within sales and marketing functions with guidance and support around consent management as the business matures.
Work with WME business to complete Privacy Risk Assessments.
Support the launch, roll out and education of Privacy Champions across WME.
Work with WME business to complete Legitimate Interests Assessments (LIA) and create and maintain a library of LIAs.
Assist with logging and the assessment of breaches and incidents within WME.
Work with WME business to help them understand the privacy implications of their processes, embedding Privacy by Design.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
A good understanding of GDPR
Awareness / understanding of the Privacy Program framework
Strong experience within the financial services industry and good business acumen
Proficiency in participating in projects with multiple stakeholders
An adept understanding of stakeholder management / facilitation of meetings
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to present or communicate complex concepts in a concise and understandable way to various stakeholders
Nice-to-have
Demonstrates the RBCBD values
Ability to work on own initiative to achieve required results
