Autism Care Assistant for a young boy P/T @ £13.74/hr in Berwick-upon-Tweed - FTE - £26.8k - Berwick-upon-Tweed - TD15

We are looking to recruit a committed enabler to support an 8-year-old boy who has a diagnosis of autism. The support will provide a range of activities within the local community, including walks in the park, countryside, and woodlands, as well as occasional drives out in the car.

Main Duties

To support for 4 hours per week in school holidays with activities in the local community, with an additional 4 hours (8 per week x 6 weeks) in the summer holidays.
To build a secure relationship with the young boy and his family.
To encourage interactions appropriate to the activities being accessed.
To prompt the young boy with toileting needs when required.
To administer medication if required; full training will be provided.

Rates of Pay

£13.74 per hour. 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata). Out of pocket expenses will be met by the Employer. This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references (cost to be met by Employer). A car driver is essential and must have Business Insurance.
