Marine Engineer - Renewables
41,000 + Door to Door Overtime OTE £60k + Van + Private Medical + 6% Pension + 33 Days Holiday + Training + Daily Allowance + Bonus + Benefits UK Travel, based anywhere in the UK.

Are you a Marine Engineer looking for a field-based role with the opportunity to move into the Renewable Energy sector?

Are you looking for a varied role with door-to-door overtime, ongoing training and a clear scope to progress technically?

As a go-to Commissioning Engineer, you will set up brand new Generator systems and CHP units on site, carrying out relevant checks to ensure they are fully functional. This would include flow meters, controllers, inverters, speed drives etc., whilst also diagnosing any mechanical setup issues encountered. The role requires the flexibility to stay away from home during the week, but you will be compensated with door-to-door overtime and will be back for the weekend.

DUTIES
  1. Commission new generator/engine systems
  2. Verify alignment and mechanical installation, with fault finding and rectification
  3. Configure control interfaces with site, switchgear, and ancillary equipment
PERSON
  1. Understanding of either power plant, generators, turbines or large engines
  2. Knowledge of PLC Ladder Logic, or some level of electrical competency
  3. Flexibility to travel and stay away Monday - Friday throughout the UK
