The Distribution Channel Manager will be responsible for developing and executing Lubrizol's distribution strategy for Fluid Engineering across Europe. This role involves establishing and managing distributor relationships, ensuring compliance with high standards, and driving growth within the distribution network. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic and commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with global colleagues. This position is pivotal in achieving Lubrizol's growth objectives and enhancing the effectiveness of our distribution channels.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Strategic Development: Formulate and implement the distribution channel strategy for Europe, ensuring alignment with Lubrizol's overall business objectives.
  2. Distributor Management: Establish and enforce criteria for managing distributor thresholds, ensuring compliance with Lubrizol's high standards.
  3. Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and oversee distribution contracts to maintain strong, effective relationships with partners.
  4. Network Vision: Create and communicate a clear vision for the distribution network, outlining both short-term and long-term actions to drive development.
  5. Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the growth and effectiveness of the distribution channel.
  6. Network Expansion: Build and manage a robust distribution network that supports sustained growth throughout Europe.
  7. Best Practices Sharing: Organize and lead annual meetings to facilitate the exchange of best practices among distributors.
  8. Ambassadors Program: Establish and grow the Lubrizol Ambassadors Club to enhance brand advocacy and partnership loyalty.
  9. Growth Accountability: Drive the expansion of the distribution network, targeting a year-over-year growth rate of 10%.
  10. Training and Development: Ensure comprehensive training programs for distributors to maintain high standards and consistent performance.
  11. Global Collaboration: Work closely with global colleagues to share insights and best practices, ensuring a cohesive strategy across regions.
  12. Pricing Structure: Develop and implement an effective pricing strategy for the distribution channel to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
  13. Representation: Serve as the key representative of the distribution channel in Lubrizol business forums, advocating for channel needs and opportunities.
  14. Transition Management: Lead the transition from the current distribution network to a new, optimized network within X months.

  • Proven experience (5-10 years) in distribution channel management, preferably in a B2B related industry.
