We are delighted to be partnering with this world-leading insurance company that is seeking a talented Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter.

This role can be fully-home-based, although there will be occasional face-to-face team meetings required in a regional office. You are welcome to attend a regional office as much as you like!

This position has arisen as a result of the company’s impressive expansion; it is enjoying 20% year-on-year growth and is on track to double in size over the next 5 years.

Working within the specialist Financial Lines Division, you’ll be underwriting incoming new business enquiries from a wide variety of brokers throughout the UK, using your sound technical and negotiation skills to secure profitable business.

Specific duties will include, but not be limited to:

1. Underwriting large and complex renewal cases.
2. Collaborating with the Claims team.
3. Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business.

As a growing business that listens to and implements employees’ great ideas and suggestions, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in some interesting ad hoc projects and make a real difference.

You must have strong experience within the Professional Indemnity arena, and candidates from a variety of specialisms (such as the Professions, Miscellaneous, Tech, Life Sciences, etc.) will be considered. As you’ll be regularly dealing with brokers, you’ll have excellent communication skills, together with a good track record of maintaining and developing relationships.

This is by no means a ‘dead-end’ senior underwriting role. The organization is extremely passionate about developing its staff, and this role has the genuine potential to progress into a number of different areas, such as Product Line Management, General Management, Technical, Compliance, Sales, and more.
