The Institute of Cancer Research, London, one of the world’smost influential cancer research institutes, has partnered withImperial College London, a world top-ten university, to trainthe next generation of clinical academics—producing leaderswho will discover, develop, and deliver the next generation oftreatments, technologies, and methodologies to cancer patients.

The partnership will expose early career clinician scientiststo the cutting-edge research culture at both institutions, andis funded through the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) ClinicalAcademic Training Programme.

Applications open for clinicaltraining fellowships

We are now inviting applications to 4projects for our three-year clinicaltraining fellowships. The successfulcandidates are expected to register fora PhD in October 2025.

Fellowship awards include UK tuitionfees, research expenses, and a clinical
salary. These prestigious fellowships aim tosupport the training of future clinical academic leadersin cancer research, and are exceptional opportunities toexpose clinical trainees to world-class training in fundamentalcell and molecular biology, therapeutics, radiotherapy, surgery,
and also convergence science (through the CRUK Convergence
Science Centre at the ICR and Imperial).
