Job Summary

Lawford Surgery has an opportunity for a part-time receptionist, working approximately 20-25 hours per week. This front-line role involves more than answering phones and scheduling appointments; it includes helping patients access services, maintaining accurate health records, and managing appointment bookings effectively.

We seek an organized, adaptable, and friendly individual to join our busy team and positively impact our community. Flexibility is required to cover additional hours as needed. Previous applicants need not apply.

Main Duties
  1. Greeting and directing patients.
  2. Assisting GPs with online triage.
  3. Scheduling appointments face-to-face, online, and via phone.
  4. Managing prescriptions, letters, forms, and specimen bottles.
  5. Handling patient inquiries and requests for information.
  6. Advising patients on practice procedures.
  7. Processing new patient registrations.
  8. Answering the telephone promptly.
About Us

Based in Manningtree, Essex, Lawford Surgery is a semi-rural practice with around 4,700 patients. The successful candidate will join our nursing team, supported by our principal GP, salaried GP, locum GPs, and PCN clinical staff including a paramedic, pharmacist, and physiotherapist.
