At CrossReach, we believe the quietest hours can be some of the most meaningful. As a Relief Night Care Worker, you’ll bring calm, comfort and kindness to the people we support while the rest of the world sleeps.

This is a flexible role ideal for night owls, those looking to top up their hours, or anyone who finds purpose in being there for others at just the right moment.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll join a dedicated team offering compassionate, person-centred care throughout the night. No two shifts are the same, but your focus will always be on the wellbeing, safety and dignity of our residents.

You’ll:

• Support residents with personal and practical care
• Respond to needs throughout the night, offering reassurance and a friendly face
• Monitor health and wellbeing, and keep clear records
• Help create a safe, homely and peaceful environment
• Work closely with colleagues and health professionals when needed

What we’re looking for
We’re not after superheroes just genuinely caring people who are dependable and calm under pressure. You’ll be working within our Christian ethos, so it’s important you’re comfortable and respectful of that.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• An SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (or the commitment to work towards it)
• Basic IT skills
• Membership of the PVG Scheme and SSSC registration (or willingness to apply)
• Flexibility that fits around your life
• Supportive team environment
• Training and development opportunities
• A role that truly makes a difference especially at night
