Job Role

PORCELANOSA Scotland Trade. We are a specialist tile, bathroom & Kitchen, ventilated façades, and RAF systems provider, committed to delivering service that matches the quality of our prestigious brands. We support customers with the design and purchase of their perfect products to meet their project requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks of Assistant BDM
  1. Support the BDM in building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential new customers to grow the business.
  2. Review Glenigan’s weekly reports to identify new business opportunities and areas for market growth.
  3. Assist the BDM with following up on project opportunities and leads, helping to convert them into orders.
  4. Update and maintain Sales Force daily to ensure client and project information is current.
  5. Assist in maintaining client relationships, including preparing proposals and presentations alongside the design & estimating department.
  6. Participate in buyer selection meetings.
  7. Support the BDM with daily tasks such as client meetings, project specifications, sample distribution, and site visits.
  8. Secure at least 2 new target accounts each month.
  9. React promptly to new leads and business opportunities via material bank.
  10. Target potential new customers through cold calling, direct mail, product offers, and incentives.
  11. The BDM will manage the diary.

Candidates should have experience in selling tiles, bathrooms, and kitchens, be confident, self-motivated, adaptable, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong desire to succeed.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, capable of adapting to various customer needs.
  • Track record of achieving measurable sales goals in an automated sales environment with accurate CRM data entry and management.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy sales team environment.
  • Positive, energetic phone manner, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
  • Highest level of integrity.
  • Experience working with architects, interior designers, builders, and developers within the construction industry.
