Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel.

What you’ll do:

• Provide specialist guidance and advice to EHS teams and Project leads on environment and sustainability to meet customer and regulatory standards.
• Support risk management by establishing an environmental assurance regime, including audit programs, through inspections and audits.
• Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
• Maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports for clients and contracts.
• Ensure regular reviews of environmental impacts and climate change risks are conducted within Business Units.
• Support project teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout the Project Life Cycle.

Who you are:

You should have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification - PIEMA
• ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
• Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice for business operations
• Proven track record of reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure across product lifecycle
• Experience managing complex technical and change projects
• Full driving license and flexibility for UK-wide travel
