Job description

Trader, Global Equities, Specialist Asset Manager (London)

Our client, a boutique asset manager based in London with a headcount of 50 and $15bn AUM, is looking for a Trader to join their team. This person will be responsible for executing equity and FX trades and performing deep execution analysis for the firm’s Global Equities strategy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Execute Equity and FX trades, performing technical analysis of best execution
  2. Stay up to date with regulation, technical and market trends and changes
  3. Work with technology providers to implement new solutions, analyse and help to evolve the trading process
  4. Generate, manipulate and visualise large datasets
  5. Produce TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis)
  6. Communicate with the investment, research teams and CIO
  7. Keep up to date with, understand and disseminate relevant market and stock news
  8. Understand portfolio and strategy restrictions and cash positions
  9. Present the trading process to clients and consultants

Key requirements:

  1. Understanding of and experience with global equity markets, US and Europe preferred
  2. 4+ years of experience in an equity trading role
  3. Deep understanding of trading algorithms and TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis)
  4. Strong analytical and numerical skills
  5. Ability to interpret, manipulate and interrogate large amounts of data
  6. Experience with database query languages (e.g. SQL) and dashboarding software (e.g. PowerBI)
  7. Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  8. A team player mentality with strong sense of motivation and integrity
