We are seeking a Materials Manager for our Puma project based in Hull. The PUMA project involves Mitsubishi Chemicals UK constructing a new production plant adjacent to their existing facility on Saltend Chemicals Park.

As the Materials Manager, you will oversee the supply and storage of materials supporting the project's construction activities, managing logistical movements between off-site storage and the construction site in alignment with the project schedule. The role is site-based at the PUMA project PTW office, with site visits to plan and scope work.

This position offers a chance to contribute significantly to a large-scale mechanical project, ensuring timely material supply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee a team managing material distribution on and off site
• Coordinate with the client team for timely delivery of materials in line with the schedule
• Serve as the primary interface for site/materials management
• Ensure daily materials control meets site objectives and complies with project procedures
• Manage manifests, requisitions, repairs, rentals, and stockholding
• Identify database issues, support purchasing and warehousing activities
• Promote adherence to client inventory processes
• Ensure proper storage facilities for hazardous materials and environmental safety measures
• Distribute materials from warehouse to site as per requirements
• Coordinate with site supervision for correct material placement
• Maintain and update the temporary equipment register
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies
• Participate in planning meetings to prioritize material distribution
• Conduct site inspections to ensure proper utilization and storage of materials
