A1 Personnel - Senior Estimator

A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Basildon.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct detailed analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately estimate costs for facade projects.
2. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
3. Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals, adhering to established deadlines and budgetary constraints.
4. Utilize industry-leading software and methodologies to perform quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and risk assessments.
5. Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project, offering strategic recommendations to optimize outcomes.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to continuously improve estimation processes and enhance competitiveness.
7. Provide mentorship and guidance to estimators, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in facade estimation, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior role.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes related to facades.
