Role Overview

As an Ocean Freight Import Co-Ordinator, you will collaborate with approximately 100 colleagues across the UK to meet customer requirements, ensure timely documentation, and uphold high-quality, compliant processes to build strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service aligned with DGF’s 10 Customer Commitments
  • Support and drive the company’s overall strategy
  • Manage end-to-end OFR Import processes for designated customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers to meet their needs
  • Handle administration and operational data, including financial reviews
  • Support profitability, volume growth, and service quality objectives set by the Station Manager
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and service providers
  • Assist Sales in interacting with key customers
  • Implement OFR strategy and ensure compliance with international requirements
  • Adhere to DPDHL Code of Conduct and other compliance standards, including anti-corruption policies
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs like First Choice
Skills and Experience
  • Proven import experience with knowledge of Customer Service & Ocean Freight processes and systems
  • Ability to meet customer service needs professionally and amicably
  • Leadership and motivation skills to achieve KPIs
  • Experience in Ocean Freight
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure
