Manufacturing Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Manager for our client in the electronics engineering industry, located near West Sussex. The successful candidate will oversee all manufacturing processes, including production and procurement schedules on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage manufacturing operations, procurement, production schedules, and workflows.
2. Supervise assembly operations and inventory management.
3. Oversee dispatch and invoicing processes.
4. Maintain high standards of customer service.
5. Generate reports for the Managing Director and the Board.
6. Occasional travel to visit customers or suppliers may be required.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably in electronics manufacturing or related fields.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Reside within a commutable distance of West Sussex.
• Hold a full UK driving license.

Salary & Benefits

The salary ranges from £45,000 to £60,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. There is some flexibility for highly suitable candidates. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 08:15 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 08:15 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.

Benefits include a holiday package starting at 20 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after three years, with some holiday allowance allocated for shutdown periods. The company offers a pension scheme with Standard Life and a Death in Service insurance policy.
