Join us as a Risk Manager at Barclays

In this dynamic position, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. You’ll be at the forefront of identifying gaps and trends, monitoring these accordingly, with the aim of detecting mules to reduce customer impact.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Essential criteria:
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and make decisions on large data sets using SAS, SQL, Python, R, or Java.
  • Experience in Fraud, Financial Crime, Credit Risk, Quantitative, Marketing, Predictive Analytics, or Decision Science.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the above areas.
Desirable criteria:
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, or a related field, or significant relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Fraud or Financial Crime Risk systems and controls and their operating environments.
  • Knowledge of money muling risks and mitigation techniques.
Purpose of the role

To use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, informing strategic decisions, improving operational efficiency, and driving innovation.

Accountabilities
  • Data collection and extraction from various sources.
  • Data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation for analysis.
  • Development and maintenance of data pipelines.
  • Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models.
  • Development of predictive models to forecast outcomes and identify risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to add value through Data Science.
