What You’ll Do
The Project Manager - Tent Division will manage and grow established customer relationships and develop new business opportunities with individuals. Responsibilities include ensuring the successful installation of tented projects, sales of tents and related products, and representing PEAK Event Services with excellent customer service and professionalism. You will assist with special events requiring attention to detail and communicate with customers and venues on behalf of the company. This position reports directly to the Senior Tent Sales Manager and can be located in Warwick RI or other locations.
The Day-to-Day
- Respond to email and phone inquiries, qualify leads, and generate quotes with event-specific details.
- Meet monthly and annual sales and growth goals.
- Expand the business by understanding the regional event market, key venues, and potential clients.
- Build relationships through networking events and groups.
- Support customers throughout planning, installation, and removal with timely communication.
- Coordinate documentation for successful tented event installation according to company guidelines.
- Manage non-inventory sub-rentals necessary for production while adhering to company standards.
- Provide on-site support for complex, high-production events.
- Assist with permitting processes to ensure timely project execution.
- Update orders during installation or removal, communicating with operations and field supervisors.
- Schedule projects with support staff.
- Respond promptly to customer needs during all phases of planning, install, and removal.
- Promote new products and inform customers of changes in pricing, policies, or procedures.
- Reconcile receivables as instructed by the Accounting Department.
- Collaborate with the drafter to create site plans and interior layouts for permits and installation.
- Maintain updated packing lists based on site requirements.
- Address inventory overbooking issues proactively.
- Represent PEAK positively in the market with excellent service.
- Maintain scheduled office days and update the Tent Team shared calendar.
- Attend all scheduled sales and company meetings.
- Support other team members as needed.
Requirements
- Understanding of event operations.
- 1-3 years of industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of event setup, tent installation, site access, permitting, and construction mechanics.
- Experience or understanding of basic construction is beneficial.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Flexible with a 'Make it Happen' attitude.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently or in teams.
- Confidence in negotiation and client interaction.

- Projected annual salary of $70,000 - $90,000 plus commissions, with potential for higher earnings.
