Business Advisor - Advanced Manufacturing/Engineering

Full time/Permanent

Location: Manchester/Hybrid

Salary: Up to £42,000

We are working with a social enterprise business that is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing/Engineering Specialist to join their expanding team. The role involves supporting business owners in the sector by providing expert advice on organisational development and promoting good employment practices. The candidate should have strong sector knowledge, including insights into business challenges, skills needs, and growth opportunities.

The role is part of a broader business support team that has been assisting companies since 2011, ranging from start-ups to established firms, by offering tailored guidance, fostering innovation, and connecting businesses with funding and expertise across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective relations with business owners/leaders and key contacts.
  • Promote the work of the Workforce Development team.
  • Identify and support businesses in addressing workforce development challenges.
  • Collaborate with training providers to offer training solutions.
  • Handle client inquiries and assess growth potential, workforce, and business needs.
About You
  • Expertise in facilitation, coaching, and organisational change management.
  • Understanding of the workforce development arena.
  • Experience in the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering sector.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Strong planning, organisational, administrative, and project management skills.
Skills Required
  • Degree/CIPD level qualifications or relevant business experience.
  • Business experience in the Construction and Green Economy sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing workforce issues during growth periods.
