Overview

This is an opportunity to train to be a recruitment consultant based in our fast-growing Plymouth office. The successful person will develop the skills to become an effective professional within the Financial Services sector. This is an exciting position for a dynamic and driven individual who would like to learn from an established team with a strong reputation. This role offers the chance to earn a “London” salary while living in the South West.

You will be given training and support to excel in our field. The successful candidates will work with senior hiring managers and HR departments, sourcing candidates, networking, and business development.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and approach new candidates with effective headhunting skills.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates to place them in suitable roles.
  • Manage the recruitment cycle from client role to candidate placement and acceptance.
  • Attend client meetings to understand hiring needs and build industry knowledge.
  • Generate leads through market research and canvassing.
  • Proactively develop business via phone, email, and client/candidate visits.
  • Maintain the company database and complete administrative duties promptly.
  • Work to build market share and always act in the company's best interest.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data security at all times.

Qualifications required:

  • Degree or equivalent level of intellect, even without a degree.

Experience required:

  • Playing Table Tennis is a plus, but not essential.
  • Be sociable, driven, determined, and hungry to succeed.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner, capable of dealing with senior clients and candidates.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous recruitment or sales experience is advantageous but not required.
