Associate, Client Service II

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate II, Loans CLO and Funds to join our Corporate Trust team. This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity (3 days a week in the office).

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  1. Primary responsibility for the management of a portfolio of loans in which BNY acts as facility agent and/or security trustee. The Associate will quickly address and resolve problems, possessing strong decision-making and organizational skills.
  2. Day-to-day oversight of the assigned portfolios to ensure high Client Experience Levels.
  3. Preparing and distributing notices to Clients and each syndicate lender as required by the Credit Facility, including Reminders, Rollovers & Rate sets.
  4. Calculating interest rates for each accrual period and distributing rate set notices.
  5. Tracking and paying multiple lenders in a single interest period, removing Lender of Record claims.
  6. Billing and collecting principal, interest, and fee payments from Clients, distributing all funds collected to the syndicate lenders.
  7. Collecting financial statements and compliance requirements from Clients as required by the Credit Facility, forwarding such information to each syndicate lender in accordance with the Credit Facility.
  8. Processing lender assignments and maintaining the official lender register.
  9. Employee Development: Key role in supporting the training of new team members.
  10. Developing strong working relationships with Front Office Relationship Managers.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in Corporate Trust or related financial markets/securities industry (with specific experience in the role of facility/security agent).
  2. Strong Client Management Experience and ability to review deal governing documents.
  3. Experience in Loans (syndicated, bi-lateral, real estate) is very desirable.
  4. Solid understanding of the product(s) administered by the group and thorough understanding of risk management and control practices.
  5. Ability to proactively monitor and manage the activities performed within our business partners outside of Ireland.
  6. Strong Financial Services Technical Skills (LoanIQ, agency and loan closing experience is highly desirable).
  7. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
