Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced researcher to join the Associate Professor Bethan Psaila Group . We are looking for a skilled researcher to lead and contribute to research programs that are aiming to understand the role of the bone marrow microenvironment in the pathogenesis of blood cancers, and responses to immunotherapy.

You will focus on developing and applying methods to study human bone marrow models using high content imaging approaches. You will lead in designing and establishing new protocols to the laboratory as well as supporting, mentoring and training other members of the group.

You will hold a PhD in cancer biology, tissue imaging or a relevant field and will have previous experience in developing and implementing methods for high content imaging, image analysis and tissue biology. Experience in the tumour microenvironment and immune oncology is essential. You will have an excellent publication track record and have the ability to manage your own academic research and associated activities.

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, funded by Cancer Research UK.
