Your Purpose
We are looking to recruit a candidate on a full-time basis to work within the laboratory to deliver and continuously improve on safety, cost, quality, and service targets.

Monday - Thursday:8 hours7:30 - 15:30 OR 8:30 - 16:30

Friday: 7 hours 7:30 - 14:30 OR 8:30 - 15:30


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Laboratory Analysis in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Take responsibility for auditing and monitoring standards.
  • Work within all local hygiene, health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice. Continuously review practices, process, and operations to identify opportunities to improve standards.
  • Improve process and/or operational capability by leading problem-solving tools and techniques, carrying out root cause analysis to determine cause of problems with the overall objective of improving department and site KPIs.
  • Review and continuously improve performance management standards and systems while actively engaging with communication processes to share outputs with colleagues, peers, and management groups.

About You

  • Experience working in an appropriate lab environment in a food/drink manufacturing environment, leaning towards a microbiological focus.
  • Effectively communicate with teams on other shifts through logbooks and daily handover meetings.
  • Able to facilitate meetings and team-based project groups.
  • Able to plan, co-ordinate and improve work done by the team, as a member of that team. Within agreed timescale achieve WCSC validation
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
