Job Opportunity: HR Assistant (School Leaver)

This is an exciting opportunity for a School Leaver seeking a career in Human Resources. The role provides generalist assistance to the HR Business Partner and Head of HR UK and Middle East. Responsibilities include delivering a professional HR service, managing HR processes such as leavers and joiners administration, and weekly reporting and analysis across BGC Group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Administrative Support
    • Maintain accurate employee records, update the ORC HCM system, and file documentation.
    • Administer processes such as maternity, paternity, probation, and flexible working requests.
    • Handle employee visa applications and immigration queries.
  2. General HR Support
    • Support employee exit interviews.
    • Assist with HR administration tasks, including drafting letters, contracts, and policy amendments.
    • Support with training/performance reports, audit responses, and SOX compliance.
    • Be alert to Conduct Risk issues related to client interests and market integrity.
  3. Employee Onboarding
    • Assist with onboarding, including offer letters, reference checks, and maintaining new employee files.
  4. Payroll & Benefits Support
    • Assist with bi-monthly payroll processing and updates.
    • Maintain the BUPA employee benefits system.
  5. Employee Relations
    • Support employee relations cases, draft letters, and take meeting minutes.
    • Respond to basic queries and direct stakeholders to policies.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Interest in HR or administration career.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills (listening, verbal, written).
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and quickly grasp concepts.
  • Proactive attitude and independent work ethic.
