Marketing Executive (Legacies), Charity, Hybrid, Berkshire / Thames Valley C£30k + Bens
Wonderful newly created opportunity exists at this Thames Valley based Heritage and Arts charity for a Marketing Executive / Marketing Officer to join their Legacy Fundraising and Supporter Care team where you will have a key role to play within their wider Fundraising and Development team. This is a hybrid role working from home / remotely with 3 days in their immaculate and leafy green offices in a fantastic working environment!
Working within a small team, the Marketing Officer / Fundraiser will work closely with the Development Manager to support and build upon the Charity's successful Legacies programme and to develop the potential of in-memory giving. You will be providing support for the Legacies Development Manager in the legacy marketing programme delivery, supporter stewardship and legacy administration. This is a varied and exciting opportunity which includes delivering projects and communications to promote gifts in wills and in-memory giving, managing the stewardship of your own portfolio of legacy supporters, and assisting with legacy administration when gifts are received. Occasional travel will be required for site visits, meetings and events to engage supporters face to face with our work throughout the UK.
You will have a good level of education and qualifications (A-level or higher) with excellent customer care and listening skills, strong writing skills ideally in a marketing or fundraising capacity (proposals, reports, updates, etc.). Any experience in fundraising, marketing and/or direct marketing or evidence of CPD e.g. in fundraising or Chartered Institute of Fundraising courses/qualifications is helpful but not essential. You can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional active listening and observation skills, building empathy and paying attention to non-verbal clues and actions, as well as strong recollection and recognition abilities. You are naturally enthusiastic, positive and willing to learn as well as having an affinity or interest with history and heritage.
