Job Description:

Purpose of the role

The Heidelberg Materials Shared Service Centre (SSC) provides administrative support functions and customer service excellence in collaboration with the business.

The Customer Accounts (CA) department handles risk analysis, credit limit assessments, accounts receivable collection, and proactive management of customer accounts.

Key accountabilities

  • Providing excellent customer service both internally and externally, utilizing our First Line Support model where applicable.
  • Processing all transactional activities via the relevant workflow tools.
  • Maintaining compliance with processes and controls, supporting documentation updates.
  • Escalating non-standard requests or issues effectively.
  • Working accurately within agreed SLAs, aiming for a right first time approach.
  • Handling information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Keeping accurate records for reporting purposes.
  • Participating in department and SSC initiatives and personal development.
  • Collaborating as part of a team to meet targets.
  • Supporting change and innovation initiatives positively.
  • Performing any additional tasks assigned by team leads or senior managers.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the flexibility to support others.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional

Study support available for AAT, CIMA, and CICM qualifications. Full training provided.

Education/Qualification

Minimum of Grade 4+ GCSEs in Math and English (or equivalent).
