Desirable knowledge for the post includes:

  • Autonomous practice experience supported by appropriate post-registration qualification.
  • Experience in advanced clinical examination and assessment skills, supported by qualifications.
  • Broad knowledge of complex and common vascular conditions.

Main duties of the job:

  1. Responsible for initial assessment, examination, treatments, medication, and investigations for vascular patients.
  2. Provide advice, education, and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  3. Holistic assessment of individuals, families, and populations, including physical assessments, history taking, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  4. Practice according to approved protocols or guidance.
  5. Contribute to the smooth operation of the service.
  6. Work across departmental boundaries.
  7. Participate in the ongoing development of the service.
