Job description

Night Warehouse Operative - DXE, Carlisle

This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient unloading and loading of freight from vehicles into and from the site. You will also support delivery operations to ensure the correct freight is loaded for delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Represent DX professionally at all times.
2. Follow all manual handling and safe working policies, including the correct use of PPE.
3. Adhere to all DX procedures and policies.
4. Handle freight with care and attention.
5. Use correct means to access and egress vehicles.
6. Employ appropriate equipment and methods for handling freight.
7. Ensure all deliveries are safely loaded before leaving the site.
8. Report damages immediately to your line manager.
9. Ensure freight matches relevant paperwork or scanner data.
10. Transport, store, and treat customer freight with respect and safety.
11. Maintain security of freight and assets; report suspicious activity.
12. Keep the warehouse tidy and report H&S issues promptly.
