ABOUT THE ROLE

At LeoVegas, data is essential to all our decision-making needs regarding customer behavior, marketing, social media, product development, and discovering new markets.

The Data Engineering Team is responsible for gathering and processing this information into consumable insights using Big Data technologies. As our Data Engineer, you will join a team of eight data engineers working with the latest technologies within the Google GCP ecosystem.

You will be responsible for developing new solutions, implementing, and maintaining batch and near real-time ETL pipelines with a focus on quality, performance, and cost optimization. You will collaborate with the wider team to optimize data flows, support business data integration, and maintain data pipelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build ETL pipelines for complex and high-volume datasets.
• Support business data integration and pipeline support.
• Integrate, ingest, and improve data within the Data Warehouse in Google Cloud.
• Develop new features for the system.
• Update cloud components.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Development of ETL data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of BigQuery; Dataform experience is a plus.
• Experience with Airflow, Dataflow.
• Proficiency in Java SE, Python, and SQL.
• Practices around test automation, CI/CD, version control.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data access, and storage techniques.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with streaming pipelines / Kafka.
• iGaming industry experience.
