About the Job

Join our CIO Risk and Assurance team to provide 1st line support, oversight, and challenge across our CIO markets and Group CIO functions. You will review the IT & Cyber risk and control environment to protect our customers and achieve our Risk Goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead SME input, guidance, and challenge to ensure compliance with the Operational Risk and Control Management (ORCM) framework, and deepen understanding of IT/Cyber risks and controls.
2. Facilitate risk and control debates at functional Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs), including reporting and future planning.
3. Utilize data, insights, and SME opinions to challenge risk assessments, control positions, and manage issues and risk events.
4. Develop strong relationships with risk, control, and issue owners, providing coaching on ORCM best practices.
5. Collaborate across all three lines of defence to ensure effective issue management and control environment strength, supporting audit reviews.

Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of operational risk management, especially in IT and cyber within the Financial Services industry.
• Knowledge of IT & Security governance models and frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to summarize and present information clearly and effectively.
• Influence and adapt communication style to all levels, including senior management.
