Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level candidate for our IT/Systems department. This position offers an opportunity for individuals looking to expand their skills within a stable company located in the Rhode Island/South Eastern Massachusetts area. We prefer a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills who is eager to grow across various IT/Help Desk functions.

Pay range: $19-24 hourly

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Supporting end-user helpdesk for hardware and software issues
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting technical and non-technical issues
  • Providing in-person, telephone, and remote support
  • Collaborating with peers and other departments to deliver excellent customer service
  • Occasional local travel to remote showrooms in MA, RI, NH
  • Communicating effectively, listening, and understanding information and ideas
  • Assisting in creating, updating, and reviewing department documentation
  • Auditing reports and data, both on paper and digital
  • Maintaining internal intranet and website
  • Working on-site during scheduled shifts and after hours for emergencies and projects
  • Researching a wide range of IT topics
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • Entry-level helpdesk experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of basic technology concepts
  • Attention to detail and follow-through under pressure
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, comfortable with remote/telephone support
