Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Global Supply Chain Director to oversee logistics operations and team management across multiple countries. This senior role requires substantial experience in global supply chain and a proven track record of operational improvements. Candidates should be commercially astute, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have the ability to influence stakeholders effectively. Fluency in English is required, with additional languages preferred.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the logistics centre of gravity as their customer base, supply chain and manufacturing locations evolve.
  • Continuously review opportunities to reduce costs and increase utilisation of the supply chain elements as the growth strategy unfolds.
  • Responsible for warehouse management in the UK, France, Italy & Germany.
  • Responsible for global Logistics and shipping (excludes USA & Australia).
  • Create and manage the sales & operations planning fulfilment processes.
  • Develop, deliver and coordinate integrated planning demand management and supply capability within agreed cost parameters.
  • Manage and lead a team of 6 Supply Chain professionals.

Candidates background & experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years senior Global Supply Chain experience.
  • Operationally and commercially astute.
  • Proven success in delivering improvements across warehouse operations, production planning/operations, inventory management, management control and reporting.
  • Experience of managing, leading, coaching and mentoring a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both internal and external stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.
  • Strong communicator and influencer.
  • Languages: English plus French, German preferred but not essential.
