Salary: Negotiable up to £70,000, dependent on experience

A market-leading global logistics organisation is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the development and optimisation of data pipelines. The role focuses on ensuring the reliable flow of information across the business, maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity. Job Role and Responsibilities

1. Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
2. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and delivery.
3. Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, addressing issues promptly to minimise downtime.
4. Support the implementation of data quality and data governance best practices.
5. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of data infrastructure.
6. Document processes, configurations, and data flows to facilitate knowledge sharing.
7. Plan activities and projects effectively.
8. Ensure the highest quality of information, reports, and communication are delivered to customers and internal teams.
9. Build business partnerships with key customers and external partners by understanding their environment and adding value.
10. Challenge the status quo to identify ongoing enhancements for operational effectiveness and customer experience.

Role Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Prior airport or manufacturing industry experience is essential.
