Retail Store Manager

GBP26,784 - GBP31,459 plus benefits

Reports to: Area Manager

Department: Trading

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Location: Headington, Oxford

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivating Store Manager to lead Cancer Research UK's trading team. You will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, inspiring your team to meet sales and fundraising targets. Your store will be a community hub where people learn about our work and support our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Guide, inspire, and develop paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment and retention.
  2. Store Operations: Oversee merchandising, stock management, store standards, layout, sales, and income.
  3. Customer Service: Lead by example to provide excellent support to customers and supporters.
  4. Profit Maximization: Control costs and drive sales to maximize profit.
  5. Community Engagement: Build relationships with local community and colleagues.
  6. Fundraising: Organize events to meet fundraising goals.
  7. Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety, safeguarding, security, and HR policies.
  8. Physical Activity: Be prepared for manual handling and physical tasks as part of daily duties.
