Our client, an established Freight Forwarder, is currently seeking a Senior Multi Modal Operator to join their team in Dartford.

As the Senior Multi Modal Operator, you will monitor and track shipments, ensuring that all goods are transported to/from their destinations in accordance with the clients' needs and providing clients with timely updates of the progress of their shipments.

Responsibilities of the Senior Multi Modal Operator:

1. Select appropriate transportation modes and routes based on factors such as cost, urgency, and cargo specifications.
2. Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
3. Prepare relevant shipment documentation such as Import & Export customs entries.
4. Handle necessary paperwork to ensure smooth transport of shipments.
5. Address and resolve any shipment delays, disruptions, or issues that may arise during transit.
6. Negotiate rates and maximize margins.

Requirements:

The successful Multi Modal Operator will have 2-3 years' experience working within the Transport and Logistics industry, with strong knowledge of all modes of transport (Air, Road, and Sea).

Required skills include:

• Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good knowledge of the HMRC CDS system.
• Cross-trade experience is an advantage.
