North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Senior Officer in Children and Families to lead the implementation of the ‘Safe and Together’ model. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of Senior Officers in Children and Families. As part of our integrated approach to promoting the best outcomes for children and young people, Senior Officers play a key role in policy and practice development as well as quality assurance. This particular Senior Officer post will lead on planning and co-ordinating the implementation of the ‘Safe and Together’ model across the service as well as leading the ongoing integration of the model into practice across North Lanarkshire.

Our partnerships within the Council and across all partner agencies are well established and are ready to support the implementation of ‘Safe and Together’ to enhance domestic abuse practice across the authority. On a daily basis you will work closely with partner organisations and key domestic abuse services who share the vision to implement the ‘Safe and Together’ model.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has knowledge of current national and local developments in relation to domestic abuse. Significant post qualifying experience including experience in a relevant discipline is essential. You should also have a track record of successful inter agency working, strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of the dynamics of domestic abuse.
You must have a CQSW/DipSW, BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent and be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to commencing in this role.
