Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 20 hours per week, term time only, split shift 07:30-09:30 and 14:30-16:30

Worker Type: Offsite Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £24,790 (Level one) rising to £25,584 (Level three) per annum (pro rata for part-time). This is a part-time post with salary starting at approximately £11,500.

About The Role

Successful candidates will provide friendly and safe transport for children and adults to and from schools and day centres.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to maintain passenger comfort while providing transport to and from Special Educational Schools and Day Centres, supporting passengers with physical, mental, and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience ensuring equipment is fit for routes and complies with department policies, including correct operation of tail lifts and passenger safety in accordance with training.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with drivers, parents, carers, and other professionals, reporting issues promptly.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols to prevent infection spread.
  • Manual handling skills, including pushing wheelchairs, supporting ambulant passengers, and using vehicle tail lifts.
  • A DBS enhanced check for regulated activity is required.
