Job Description

Are you called to serve God in Egham?

St John's is a large, lively, and friendly church. We are seeking a vicar to join in God's transforming work, leading our church to become a growing congregation that continues to share God's love with our wider community. The ideal candidate will:

1. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and grounded in scripture;
2. Be able to lead the St John's ministry team and the wider church community with a strong local presence;
3. Be gifted in envisioning, energising, and enabling those around them;
4. Demonstrate and proclaim the love of God to all sections of society, in both word and deed;
5. Be a loving pastor, encouraging unity of purpose in leading the next chapter of the church's life.

The parish is located in Runnymede, Surrey, encompassing a thriving small town and Royal Holloway University of London. The vicarage is a large, 5-bedroom detached house, just a few minutes' walk from the church and its large adjoining Easter Centre.
