Job Title: Lead Project Manager x 3 – Innovation Team

Location: Glasgow or Merseyside
Salary from £60,800 to £76,000

We are currently looking for 3 Lead Project Managers to lead SPEN’s Innovation Team within the Process and Technology organisation. You will develop and implement an innovation strategy to create engineering solutions for transmission and distribution networks, supporting the transition to NetZero in the evolving energy landscape.

You should have experience working with complex stakeholder groups, understanding the regulatory environment in which SPEN operates, and the ability to operate strategically, with a thorough understanding of the energy industry's challenges.

What you’ll be doing
  1. Possess a relevant technical degree or equivalent experience, with a proven track record, preferably in electrical, data, or IT fields. Experience as a Project lead or Work Package lead in large, complex projects.
  2. Have an in-depth understanding of regulated network businesses (electricity distribution and/or transmission networks) and their engineering foundations.
  3. Possess strong project management skills and experience with core project management software.
  4. Be capable of understanding, appraising, and developing innovation cost-benefit analyses, following in-house training/guidance.
  5. Exhibit advanced negotiation and influencing skills to build effective relationships across all levels.
  6. Demonstrate exceptional organizational and project management skills across cross-functional workstreams.
  7. Uphold professional conduct within a regulated environment, demonstrating teamwork and team-building capabilities.
  8. Proven ability to liaise with industry bodies and stakeholders.
  9. Have strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  10. Adapt seamlessly to changing environments and priorities.
  11. Prioritize workloads effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  12. Show a strong sense of responsibility in supporting critical infrastructure.
  13. Maintain commitment to safety standards, professional behavior, and integrity.
  14. Display flexibility, self-discipline, and a proactive attitude.
  15. Hold a full UK driving license.
