Purchasing Assistant
Permanent Role
Location: Newbury
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 pa
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing and stock control within the business.
The ideal candidate will have some purchasing experience and will be able to bring their skills and experience within procurement to the role. A manufacturing/raw materials background is ideal but not essential for this position.
The role is varied and fast-moving; you will need to juggle several tasks simultaneously and be flexible in switching between jobs as required.
Strong IT and Excel skills are essential, and a good mathematical ability is also important. Attention to detail is key, and you will be comfortable speaking to clients over the telephone and calling suppliers.
