Position: Project Engineer - Body Exterior

As a Project Engineer specialising in Body Exterior, you will oversee the development and execution of exterior components for automotive projects. Your role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and innovative vehicle exteriors. You will also contribute to outreach initiatives promoting STEM education within the community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development of exterior body systems, ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets.
2. Manage BoM structure, costs, mass, design, release timing, technical specifications, DFMEA, and DVP inputs.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select appropriate design and integration techniques.
4. Make informed decisions and adapt standard practices, especially in managing small work packages.
5. Oversee exterior systems development, including 3D CAD geometry, workflow, and documentation.
6. Provide engineering oversight for exterior systems such as bumpers, grilles, lighting, mirrors, panels, and aerodynamic elements.
7. Apply project management best practices, including design for manufacture and assembly.
8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, and partners.

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

1. Experience in project engineering or related automotive roles.
2. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
3. Strong engineering principles and project management knowledge.
4. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
5. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field.
