General Practice Nurse Band 5 Needed ASAP in the MOD (Ministry of Defence), Leicester

Sirona Medical Limited is seeking a Band 5 General Practice Nurse for immediate placement within the MOD (Ministry of Defence). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-supported, secure environment across various UK sites, including Staffordshire.

Key Details:

  • Location: Leicester (with potential placements across the UK)
  • Contract Type: Agency/Locum
  • Hours: 37 hours per week, ongoing
  • EU Work Permit Required: Yes

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality primary healthcare services within a multidisciplinary team
  • Working alongside military personnel and their families on Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force bases
  • Delivering immunisations, vaccinations, venepuncture, and other clinical procedures

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (Level 1) with the NMC, with a valid PIN
  • Minimum one year’s post-registration experience in a Band 5 or higher in a Primary Healthcare setting within the last three years
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, AED, Infection Prevention and Control, and Safeguarding training
  • Certificates of clinical competency in Immunisation, Vaccination, and Venepuncture
