Our Meallmore team at Kinmylies is ready to warmly welcome you as a Second Chef within their care home. Surrounded by dramatic views of the mountains and canal, Kinmylies Lodge Care Home provides a supportive and homely environment that encourages residents’ independence. Located in the quiet suburbs of Inverness, Kinmylies caters towards residents recovering from mental health illnesses and has a reputation for promoting community living.

We offer mentorship and ongoing learning opportunities to support your skill development and career progression.

Your role as a Meallmore Second Chef will include:
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and cooking meals according to dietary needs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Prepare and serve food timely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative ideas.
  • Manage food budget and minimize waste.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and allergies (desirable).
  • Strong culinary skills and creativity.
  • Proficiency in food safety practices.
